Here's our shot_06 after compositing. We added depth of field and motionblur to create a realistic look. Enjoy!

Rendertime!

We finished most of the animation work and started rendering our scenes. We had a lot of renderingproblems like flickering and AA-Problems. But we finally found a way to render good looking images.

Our musician sent us the first impression of what we will get in the end, and it's really, really amazing. We are very excited and are looking forward for more! He is doing a very good job. Check his website: www.benkrahl.com

Particle-Setups

Today we build the particle setup for the super slowmotion sequence. In this shot, parfum sprays out of the can and time switches into superslowmotion. Tom build a thinking particles setup which can control the speed of the emitting and the already emitted particles. Sounds easy...

....adding lights

We came up with some little changes in a few shaders. We also continued working on the light setup.

Here's a quick view of our first compositingtest after colorcorrection and adding depth of field.

Lighting the scene

Today we started to set up the lighting for our scene. Important for us is to create some kind of moonlight coming from the windows on the right side of the room. We also want to have a great contrast between light and shadow, so that we decided to come up with several lightspots in the image.

Finally we got a Production-BLOG !!!!!!!!!!!

So, I know that I'm very, very late coming up with this blog, but better now than never.

So....our short:

"Dental Love" (working title) is a lovestory between a piece of toothpaste (Frank) and an electric toothbrush (Nancy). Frank loves Nanca very much and he sees her every night on the other side of the sink. One night he sees her again and desides to risk the dangerous trip around the sink so that he can be with her.

This short is a student project and we are 3 guys, looking forward to create a nice little 2-minute short. The whole movie will be some kind of musical, because the 2 characters are singing a duett in the style of Frank and Nancy Sinatra (uhh....remember the names of the characters ;-))

So actually this is our first 3D-short. So...stay tuned.
